It carries a cheese course or a warm loaf to the table, and earns its place on the counter in between.
Walnut inlay
The dark line of walnut set into the cherry, the same signature that runs through the cutting boards.
Cherry
Firm and close-grained. The surface is smooth and dense, and it wears in rather than out.
Patina
Cherry darkens as it lives. Blonde now, amber within the year, richer every year after. The color it earns is its own.
Northeastern wood
Grown in the hardwood forests of the Northeast. Cut, planed, and finished here in Maine.
