Hanging Serving Boards

A serving board built to hang, in cherry inlaid with walnut. Worked and finished by hand from New England hardwood.

Off the wall it serves. On the wall it keeps. The board is made to be looked at when it isn't in use.

Hangs from the inlay
A hole set into the walnut inlay takes the walnut peg it ships with, so the board hangs from the same pattern that marks its face. The hardware belongs to the design, not bolted on after.

Walnut inlay
The dark line of walnut set into the cherry — the signature carried across the collection.

Cherry
Firm and close-grained. Smooth and dense, it wears in rather than out.

New England wood
Grown in the Northeast. Cut, planed, and finished here in Maine.

Care
Hand wash, towel dry. Re-oil when the surface looks dry. Never soak. Never the dishwasher.
